MY REVIEW – 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Karenna Colcroft’s Ebb and Flow draws readers into a world that’s both richly built and emotionally charged. From the very first page, the story grips you with Quinn pain and resilience. Only weeks after witnessing the massacre of nearly half his pack, Quinn is trying to find his footing as a guard for the U.S. Anaxβ€”the leader of all werewolves in the country. But the memories of the killings, and the abuse he suffered before joining the pack, continue to haunt him.

Then there’s Malachi, the mate Quinn has longed for. From the moment they met in Nova Scotia, Quinn knew they were destined for each otherβ€”but Malachi resists. At 130 years old, he has spent decades grieving the humans he loved, and the idea of a mateβ€”especially one over a century youngerβ€”is more than he feels he can handle. The tension between them is palpable, and their slow-burn connection is filled with longing, frustration, and desire.

As the walls between Quinn and Malachi begin to crumble, danger arises. A threat draws too close to Quinn’s mate and the Anax, forcing both men to confront the shadows that aim to destroy everything they hold dear. Colcroft expertly balances romance, suspense, and action, keeping readers on edge while still savoring the intimate, emotional moments between the characters.

Ebb and Flow is more than a romanceβ€”it’s a story about grief, resilience, and the power of finding your person against all odds. With its slow burn, high stakes, and deeply layered characters, it’s a must-read for fans of MM romance and paranormal suspense alike.

Content Notes: This book deals with past sexual assault, grief, and mourning. It includes a large age gap between the main characters (over 100 years, werewolves live long!), consensual commanding, and the use of β€œboy” in a romantic context. While it’s set in the Real Werewolves Don’t Eat Meat universe, it’s not a direct part of that series.
